December 21, 2010: Happy New Year! Happy Winter Solstice, which this year is December 21 at 6:38 PM. 2010 was a fabulous year, but 2011 will be even better. So, out with the old and in with the new! In most ancient cultures, the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year with the least sunlight, was considered the end of the past year and the beginning of the new cycle of 12 months. From an astronomical, astrological, scientific point of view, this makes perfect sense. Some places and groups still celebrate the New Year at this time. With human development and history, however, various nations, religions and cultures have chosen other dates. Hence, we have New Year’s on January 1 in the West, with the Chinese New Year starting a couple weeks later. Western astrology begins with its first sign in Aries in the cycle of March 21 – April 20. These are manmade cycles and interpretations. For our 12 Powers program in 2011, we will follow a universal, cosmic, 12-month calendar that begins with the winter solstice. Each month will consist of 30.4 days, to make up the whole year of 365 days. The first month from about December 21-January 20 will be the month of faith, which expresses primarily by way of the cerebrum. The color is royal blue. Our theme for this year is Oneness 101. Note that 2011 ends with two 1s. This is unity, oneness, integration and healing above and below. 11 is a number for mastership. Our goal in 2011 is to be one in the One, out of which flows healing and harmonization to the whole world. Our 12-month class in Oneness 101 begins with the basics and covers the basics, hence its designation 101. And what could be more fundamental than the first principle: God is. This is our first new image. Of course, this image is as old as time itself, for God always has been one, is now one, and always shall be one. What we seek is a new realization of this Is-ness. How do we come to a direct realization of cosmic, universal, transcendent oneness? By faith. By direct knowing. By divine perception in and through our cerebrum or central computer. By the linking of our faith and imagination faculties, such that we experience oneness with the One. Visualization: Be still. Surround yourself in love and light. Pull back time and again from any conscious analysis or subconscious musing. Sincerely ask to be superconsciously one with the One, Which is all around you, within you and expressing as you. Affirm: God is; the Father and I are one; I am one with the One. Then let these affirmations flower into a full blown, faith-filled image, intuition, idea and/or realization of Cosmic Unity. This unique new image simply comes to you, with no effort on your part. It is not something you think up or earn, but rather is a gift from God to you as His-Her beloved child, in whose image and likeness you are made. God is: See this; know this; be this; be.
